Abstract
MENSTRUATION is a complex process involving delicate and properly-timed relations between hypothalamus, pituitary gland, ovary and uterine endometrium. It is sometimes forgotten that normal menstrual function relates also to the thyroid and adrenal glands, liver, vascular system, nutritional status and emotional factors. It is the purpose of this paper to review the relation of disorders of menstruation to certain systemic diseases.
