Abstract
A field analysis of a nonlinear grating output coupler is presented. The coupler is assumed to be operated in high-power regime, that is, the guided-wave field profile is dependent on the guided-wave power. Near-field output-intensity distributions are calculated. It is shown that focused intensity distributions are obtained and the focal point moves as the input power is varied. This publication has 8 references indexed in Scilit:
