Acquired intermittent Brown's syndrome

Abstract
A 29-year-old woman and an 11-year-old boy had episodic vertical diplopia of recent onset. In both a neurologic condition was suspected initially; however, intermittent Brown's superior oblique tendon sheath syndrome was diagnosed. Both patients reported improvement after eye exercises. The importance of recognizing this entity in the differential diagnosis of acquired diplopia is evident.
