Abstract
We report the first observation of InSb with the wurtzite structure by X-ray diffraction for a small particle prepared by evaporation of InSb in Ar gas. The ratio of c/a=1.642 is slightly larger than that of the ideal hcp lattice. The density of the crystal with the wurtzite structure is almost equal to that of the zincblende-type crystal. The value of c/a is consistent with that for compounds which exhibit the wurtzite and zincblende structures. Keywords
