1H AND 13C N.M.R. STUDIES ON SOME PENTAATOMIC RINGS CONTAINING THE THIO AND SELENO-AMIDO GROUPS

Abstract
The 1H and 13C nmr spectra have been recorded on pentaatomic rings, having formula (where for R = H, × = NH, NMe, NEt, CH2, S; for R = Me, × = NMe; for R = Et, × = NEt; Y = S, Se) in CDCl3 solutions. A simple calculation on the ß-skeleton, based on the method reported by Del Re, has been carried out on the thionic derivatives (Y = S). A satisfactory linear relation between the chemical shifts of the carbons not interacting with the π-system and their calculated ß-charges has been found.
