Abstract
An electromagnetic accelerator employing a capacitor bank is described, which can be used to accelerate masses up to 1 g to velocities between 10 m s-1 and 300 m s-1. The theoretical model is compared with experimental results and photographs of the acceleration process are shown. The results indicate that the electromagnetic accelerator is a highly reliable device; the operation is reproducible. It can be used to accelerate all kinds of mases (dust, liquids, organic material, etc.) in any environment (vacuum, atmospheric pressure, high pressure, or liquids). Keywords
