Metropolitan Manila: a framework for its sustained development

Abstract
Metropolitan Manila: a framework for its sustained development describes the range of environmental problems affecting citizens within and around the city: the large and growing squatter population with inadequate or no basic services; pollution from inadequate waste management and lack of sewers and liquid waste treatment; and flooding. The final sections outline a framework for addressing such problems, including the potential role of non-government organizations.
