MEMORY DISTURBANCES IN THIRD VENTRICLE TUMOURS

Abstract
In 180 patients with verified intracranial lesions, memory impairment was found to be most common when the area surrounding the floor and walls of the 3d ventricle was disturbed. These memory losses occurred without gross changes of personality or intellect and seemed to be losses of normal endurance and retention. It is unlikely that the observed losses are due to intracranial pressure, age at time of onset or other psychological factors.
