Abstract
The title complex crystallizes with formula C40H52N2O22U, M, α It 50.9, monoclinic, space group P21/n, a α 11.782(2), b α 8.584(2), c α 22.631(2)Å, β α 98.29(2)[ddot], V α 2265.1 Å3, Z α 2, D c α 1.687gcm-3, D o α 1.685 g cm-3, μ α 33.7 cm-1 (MoKa), F(000) α 1148. The structure was solved and refined to R α 0.066, R w. α 0.069 for 3024 observed flections. The uranyl group is not located within the crown ether, but is bonded to two bidentate nitrate groups and to two water molecules. The structure consists of neutral UO2(NO2)2(H2O)2 units and separate crown ether molecules connected by hydrogen bonding through intermediary water molecules.Keywords
