Abstract

Different aspects of investigation and analysis of essential oils by gas chromatography are discussed. The possibility of preparative gas chromatography is indicated. Decomposition of thermolabil compounds during chromatography is discussed, and the possibilities offered by the method for investigations in the field of essential oil biogenesis are reviewed.
