Abstract
Chromosome analysis of 7 spp. of Asparagus and 4 populations of A. racemosus revealed that both polyploidy (20, 40, 60) and structural alterations have played a role in speciation of Asparagus associated with variation in sapogenin content. [The 7 spp. are A. racemosus, A. plumosus, A. cooperi, A. pyramidalis, A. falcatus, A. robustus and A. sprengeri].This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
