Abstract
When the received data are fractionally sampled,the magnitude and phase of most linear time-invariant FIRcommunications channels can be estimated from second-orderoutput-only statistics. We present a general cyclic correlationmatching algorithm for known order FIR blind channel identificationthat has closed-form expressions for calculating theasymptotic variance of the channel estimates.
