Biological Effects of Hypoglycin A in Hydrocortisone Treated Adrenalectomized Rats.

Abstract
Administration of hypoglycin A (cyclopropanepropionic acid, a-amino-2-methylene, from seeds of Blighia sapida) to adrenalectomized male rats reduced the degree of hydrocortisone-induced liver glycogen deposition and hyperglycemia, without altering either urinary glucose or nitrogen excretion.
