The abundances of the elements in the solar photosphere - VIII. Revised abundances of carbon, nitrogen and oxygen

Abstract
A comprehensive analysis of atomic and molecular lines provides the following recommended solar photospheric abundances for carbon, nitrogen and oxygen log ε(C) = 8.67, log ε(N) = 7.99 and log ε(O) = 8.92 on the standard scale log ε(H) = 12.00. An uncertainty of ±0.10 dex is indicated. Primary abundance indicators include the [C I] λ8727 line, the CH A-X and C2 Swan systems, the N I lines and the [O I] λλ6300, 6363 lines.
