Abstract
An instrument for measuring the air permeability of fabrics and its use are described. Reproducibility of results is good. The flow of air is proportional to pressure with close fabrics but, with more open fabrics, flow is more nearly linearly related to the square root of the pressure. Flow is proportional to area of specimen within the limits studied. The resistances to air flow of multilayers of fabric are additive. Keywords
