Abstract
Calculations of cardiac output using the N2O technique as described by Becklake et. al. (J. Appl. Physiol. 17: 579, 1962) result in spurious valueswhen barometric pressure or body temperature deviates from 760 Torr or 37.0degrees C, respectively. Nitrous oxide (N2O) uptake (VN2O) must be corrected to standard pressure, dry at 37.0 degrees C.This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
