Abstract
Polyaniline films with incorporated particles were prepared by electrolysis of aniline dissolved in aqueous solution in the presence of suspensions. The resulting composite film showed electrochemical activities of both polyaniline and the incorporated particles. The green color of the film obtained by oxidation at 0.6 V vs. saturated calomel electrode (SCE) was changed into yellow and blue by polarization at 0 and −0.6 V vs. SCE, respectively, due to reduction of polyaniline and the incorporated . When the composite film was illuminated in electrolyte solutions containing methanol as an electron donor, polyaniline of the film was reduced by photogenerated electrons in the incorporated particles. Keywords
