Abstract
Revised structures for the pigments santalin and santarubin. from the ‘insoluble red’ woods are reported. These complex benzopyran-7-ones are derivatives of C30 skeletal structures and constitute novel, additional examples of plant products arising from the dimerisation of C15 flavonoid units. Keywords
