Abstract
Physical laws such as the Schrödinger equation or Newton's laws explain many simple phenomena, from the quantized energy levels in a hydrogen atom to the motion of planets around the Sun. More complicated systems, such as a gas of atoms, can be studied by treating them as a collection of weakly interacting parts which are themselves simple This is reductionism. Keywords
