Abstract
Eleven oat lines selected for high yield and high protein content from crosses between A. sativa and A. sterilis and 4 cultivars originating from Canada and the USA were grown in 3 locations in 1978. The material was tested for oil and protein content. Oil content of groats varied between 6.47-8.94%. Protein content varied from 14.3-22.5% and DBC-values from 47.9-69.4. Significant positive correlation were observed between oil content and grain yield. Oil percentage showed no correlation with protein content, DBC-values, test weight or grain weight. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
