Abstract
The pallet loading problem is addressed in this paper. The focus is on the physical aspects of implementing a pallet loading system. An actual palletizing operation is described for a demonstration system developed using an IBM RS/1 robot. Physical limitations of implementing optimal seeking algorithms are addressed. Keywords
