Abstract
The past few years have seen the study of Magellanic Cloud planetary nebulae cease to be an extragalactic sideshow and instead become one of the most quantitative branches of planetary nebula research, due largely to our ability to fully exploit the known distances to these systems since the launch of IUE and the advent of sensitive digital detectors mounted on large optical telescopes. Keywords
