Abstract
The adsorption of nitrogen, oxygen, and argon by three Acheson graphites has been measured at liquid nitrogen and liquid oxygen temperatures. The isotherms were Type II in the B.E.T. classification and displayed two kinds of hysteresis. The first kind was attributed to the presence of pores in the graphite and the second kind to intercrystalline swelling. Keywords
