Abstract
We exploit the analogy between free Yang-Mills theory and free quantum gravity in Carmeli's theory. In this framework we study the topological charge determined from the -valued connections and discuss the renormalizability of the theory following the method proposed by 't Hooft for free Yang-Mills theory.
