Abstract
Twenty cases of orbital emphysema are described and the principal radiological and clinicalfindings reviewed. The two principal causes of this condition were: fractures of the medial wall of the orbit involving the ethmoid cells, or blow-out fractures through the floor of the orbit into the maxillary antrum. The mechanism of these injuries, their radiological demonstration and the indications for surgical treatment are discussed. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
