Abstract
A notch has been seen in the electrocardiograms of rats who were fed diets deficient in essential fatty acids. This notching occurs consistently at a point 37 percent through the QRS-complex. It can be prevented by the addition of small amounts of linoleate, linolenate, or arachidonate to the diet of these rats. Keywords
