Abstract
We have applied the principle of acute functional renal failure in the management of the oliguric-anuric state encountered in 19 of 158 patients undergoing open-heart operations. Mannitol was administered to nine patients who experienced acute renal failure, with successful diuresis and restoration of kidney function in eight. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
