Abstract
A number of factors associated with the phosphating of high strength steels and irons have been investigated. Part II of this work covers preliminary investigations on the mechanism of phosphate coating formation and studies of problems encountered with the phosphate treatment of certain high strength steels. Methods of producing thin insulating layers on carbonyl iron powders by phosphate treatment are also described. Keywords
