Abstract
A clean, uncluttered background set on a television program may be restful and pleasant—but is it an aid in learning or remembering what is going on? The following report is of one of the rare attempts to objectively test the many production techniques available to the television producer. Dr. Robert Schlater is assistant professor in the Department of Television and Radio of Michigan State University. Keywords
