Abstract
Using simplifying assumptions, solutions for the magnetization distribution in the curling mode are obtained for a ferromagnetic sphere with a uniaxial anisotropy. These are used to obtain a magnetization curve for a vanishing anisotropy constant and the remanent domain configuration in a cobalt sphere. In the latter case it is shown that as the radius of the sphere increases, two cylindrically symmetric coaxial domains are being formed. Some features of this configuration are discussed and a comparison is made with previous literature. This publication has 19 references indexed in Scilit:
