Abstract
Clinical data on 9 adults who had unexplained transient roentgenologic osteoporosis of 1 hip are presented. The findings and course of illness were similar enough among the patients to suggest a clinical syndrome. Reports in the literature regarding similar cases and the relationship of the disorder in the present series of cases to other disorders are discussed. An awareness of this syndrome and the possibility of its occurrence in a patient with a painful hip should help in the proper treatment and further definition of this condition. Keywords
