Spectroscopic and Electronic Properties of Conducting TCNQ Lb Films Issued From A Homodoping Strategy

Abstract
We report the preparation and physical properties of Langmuir-Blodgett films obtained by mixing in the same layer neutral amphiphilic octadecyl tetracyanoquinodimethane (C18TCNQ) and ionic semi-amphiphilic (C18S)2 dithiolium-TCNQ molecules. Cluster approach is used for the interpretation of electronic charge transfer band and vibronic features in infrared as a result of electron-molecular vibration coupling. The role of the in-plane long range order is discussed in view of increasing the d.c. conductivity value.
