Abstract
Photoreactions developed in 5 of 43 patients being treated for 30 mo. with repeated doses of DTIC [5-(3,3-dimethyltriazeno)-imidazole carboxamide] because of metastasing malignant melanoma. An increase in light sensitivity in the UVA and UVB range was demonstrated by light-testing in the affected patients but not in controls. A decrease was shown with the metabolism of DTIC. The increase in light sensitivity serves as an additional argument to avoid light exposure during and after DTIC injections. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
