Abstract
Chloramphenicol (CAP) inhibits the formation of [beta]-galactosidase to a greater extent than the synthesis of total protein. The treatment results in the inhibition of the inducer-promoted synthesis of pulse-labeled messenger ribonucleic-acid (mRNA). The synthesis of [beta]-galactosidase is inhibited by: inhibition of [beta]-galactosidase messenger (RNA) synthesis and the later steps in protein systhesis. This publication has 12 references indexed in Scilit:
