Abstract
A 10 curie strontium 90 β-ray therapy unit is described, capable of treating areas up to 40 × 20 cm at 40 cm S.S.D. with a dose-rate of 47 rads/minute. Smaller areas at shorter S.S.D.'s can be treated with correspondingly higher dose-rates. The half-value depth of the radiation is about 2·5 mm in tissue. Keywords
