Abstract
This report is to review and summarize various aspects of maturation and fertilization of bovine oocytes. Reference also is made to other species where pertinent data for the bovine are unavailable. Finally, factors important to success of in vitro maturation and fertilization as well as applications of these procedures to the animal industry are addressed. Keywords
