Abstract
The present state of experimental and theoretical studies of a new group of semiconducting materials—semimagnetic semiconductors (SMSCs)—is reviewed. The major part of this review article is devoted to a description of those anomalous SMSC properties which are not observed in ordinary semiconductors and which justify the definition of SMSCs as a novel class of semiconducting compounds. Keywords
