Abstract
At Detroit Zoo management staff have taken steps to promote a physically and socially sound captive Chimpanzee Pan troglodytes colony by designing and building a new exhibit based on successful models at two other zoos. A careful procedure of stepped dyadic introductions was employed to integrate 11 unfamiliar Chimpanzees into a single group of 2.9 individuals. Keywords
