Abstract
The type suite of the helcionelloid mollusc Latouchella cos-tata, the type species of Latouchella Cobbold, 1921, is redescribed from the Lower Cambrian Comley Limestone of Shropshire, England. The laterally compressed, slightly asymmetric shell has a smooth dor-sum and broad plications developed symmetrically on the lateral surfaces. Recognition of Oelandia Westergård, 1936, originally described from the Middle Cambrian of Öland, Sweden, on the basis of its asymmetrically developed plications seems therefore to be justified. Keywords
