Abstract
The embryology, anatomic and patholic aspects of 60 cases of annular pancreas are reviewed. The association of pancreatitis or peptic ulcer in approximately 25% of adult cases of annular pancreas is discussed. As to incidence, males are affected twice as frequently as females; almost half of all cases occur between the ages of 20 and 40; 45 cases have been reported since 1950. Two case reports are given. Keywords
