Abstract
Magnetovolume experiments on non-stoichiometric Ti(Fe0.5Co0.5) compounds show that the ferromagnetic behaviour of the stoichiometric compound must be ascribed to the presence of Fe,Co antistructure atoms in a highly susceptible matrix. The effect of pressure on the matrix susceptibility is analysed in terms of the ratio of the effective (I) and bare (Ib) interactions between the itinerant electrons. Keywords
