Abstract
Duck immature red‐cell polyribosomes were dissociated by different concentrations of EDTA At 0.02 μmol EDTA260 unit of ribosomes the dissociation was complete and reversible as shown by the ability of the reassociated ribosomes to synthesize globins. The behaviour of the mRNA during dissociation and reassociation was studied. Possible mechanisms of the reassociation are discussed. Keywords
