Abstract
The mechanism of the negative slope in the current-light characteristics of twin-stripe lasers is explained by the dependence of a near-field pattern on the current distribution. A guiding principle for designing the laser structure for a more effective negative-slope characteristic is discussed. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
