Abstract
A shortened procedure in the technique of the Schechter colorimetric method for analyzing DDT insecticides in various formulations and in spray residues was tested in comparison with the longer, standard procedure. In the shortened method the ether extraction of the nitrated mixture is eliminated and only the p,p''-isomer content is analyzed. The results indicate that the abridged procedure can be used with approx. the same accuracy as the longer technique is estimating p,p''-DDT in various insecticide formulations and in spray residues.This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
