Abstract
Cells of synchronized cultures of Staphylococcus aureus showed an oscillating MBC/MIC ratio when tested with penicillin G. Although the MICs did not differ significantly throughout the cell cycle, the MBC was at its maximum when actively dividing cells were inoculated.Keywords
