Employee Communication: Messages for the 1980s

Abstract
Since its first extant study published in 1976, the Division of Applied Busi ness and Organizational Communication has monitored employee com munication needs in American organizations. As we enter the 1980s, it will be beneficial for organizational communicators to identify what employees want to know. Reviewing the trend line of the 1970s and projecting it into the 1980s helps to predict the employee communication needs for the 80s. It is relatively simple to cite what employees want to know-the major question is, will the employer-communicator get the message!
