Abstract
The rate of O2 consumption of rat liver, kidney cortex, cardiac muscle, skeletal muscle, and cerebral cortex was detd. in slices after subjecting the animals to progressively decreasing pressures until death occurred. When compared with the QO2 of control tissues, the O2 consumption of the liver and cardiac muscle of the anoxic rats was decreased 20% and 35% respectively. The QO2 of the remaining tissues studied was not significantly different. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
