Abstract
A formal integral relation is derived relating the triplet correlation function g3 to the higher gn for a two-dimensional fluid. The relation is obtained as a power series in the density and is shown to converge absolutely for all realistic fluids. It is also shown that the rule is satisfied to a good approximation by a limited number of the lower gn. The extension to three dimensions is discussed. Keywords
