Abstract
High peak-to-average power ratio (PAR) of the transmitted signal is one of the limitations to using orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) systems. This article presents a novel orthogonal projection-based partial transmit sequences approach that achieves significant PAR reduction at low redundancy. The proposed method is applicable to OFDM systems with a large number of subchannels. This study also for the first time provides geometrical interpretation to combining the well-known partial transmit sequences scheme. Keywords
