Abstract
A significant problem in the field of language disorders and remediation is the difficulty in obtaining generalization of trained behaviors to speech in natural settings. This problem is discussed in terms of language rule learning using data gathered on three subjects. A procedure called "contrast training" is described as a method to overcome the generalization problem. Keywords
